The fine print, in plain words

Terms, privacy and refunds

Three short policies for the app at app.thekingdombuiltcouple.com. We wrote them to be read, not skimmed past. Questions go to hello@thekingdombuiltcouple.com.

Effective October 20, 2026. Operated by The Kingdom Built Couple, Kannapolis, North Carolina, USA.

Refund policy

We would rather refund you than have you feel stuck with something that isn't right for you.

Pillars (one-time purchase)

The Covenant Circle (monthly or yearly membership)

Mistakes and double charges

Charged twice, or charged for something you didn't buy? Email us and we'll fix it the same or next business day.

How refunds work

Email hello@thekingdombuiltcouple.com from the email address you used to sign in, and say what you'd like refunded.

We issue refunds within 2 business days to the card you paid with, through Square. Banks typically take a few business days after that to show it on your statement.

When a Pillars purchase is refunded, access to the paid program ends. Day 1 and the Learn pages stay free for everyone.

Privacy policy

The short version: we keep as little as possible. Your training lives on your phone unless you choose otherwise. The only things stored with us by default are your email address and what you've paid for. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't use tracking tools.

What stays on your device

Your progress through the program, your session history, your weekly ratings and your settings are saved in your browser's storage on the phone or computer you use. By default they are not sent to us. If you clear your browser data, use "Erase all progress" in Settings, or switch devices, that history is gone or starts fresh. We chose this on purpose: what you do with this app is your business.

Two tips: adding the app to your home screen (Share or menu → "Add to Home Screen") makes that storage more durable, and the switch below makes it follow you anywhere.

If you turn on "Keep a copy with my account"

This switch in Settings is off until you turn it on. When it's on, the app saves a small record to your account so your history survives a cleared browser and follows you to a new phone. That record holds exactly: the week and day you're on, the date and type of each session you finished (and how long it ran), and your weekly 1-to-5 ratings. It does not hold your settings or anything you didn't enter. Only you can read it; it's stored in your own row, in the same database as your access record. Turn the switch off and the copy is deleted right away. Delete your account and it goes with it.

What we store

We do not store your card number. Unless you turn on the account copy, we do not store what you do in the app.

Payments

Payments are handled by Square on Square's own checkout pages. Square collects your card details, name, email and phone number under Square's privacy policy. Square then sends us a notice of each payment that includes your name, email, card brand and the last four digits of the card; from that notice we keep only the reference numbers, product and amount described above.

Who helps us run the app

These companies process data on our behalf, only to provide their service:

We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

Email

We send sign-in codes and account messages. Square sends your receipts. We won't send you newsletters or offers unless you separately ask for them, and you can stop those at any time.

Health information

Pillars is an exercise timer and education tool. It isn't a medical device. The only health-related record we can hold is the training record you choose to keep with your account, and we hold nothing of the kind if you leave that switch off. The fact that you bought a pelvic-floor program is itself private, so our records say only "Pillars" and we keep them to ourselves. If we ever experienced a security incident involving your information, we would tell you.

Your choices

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections. Access to our records is limited to the owners and the services named above. No system is perfect, which is another reason we keep so little.

Age

The app is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continued use after that means you're fine with the change.

Terms of use

By using the app you agree to these terms. They're short because the app is simple.

What the app is, and isn't

The Kingdom Built Couple app offers exercise timers, devotional content and educational material for married couples. Pillars, the husband's track, is a 12-week pelvic floor training program built from published physiotherapy research.

It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing in the app replaces a conversation with your doctor. Erectile difficulties and urinary symptoms can be signs of other conditions, including heart and circulation problems, so please get checked. Stop any exercise that causes pain, and talk to a clinician before starting if you've had pelvic surgery, have a pelvic health condition, or have been told to avoid this kind of exercise.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. The app is for your personal use.

Your account

Purchases and memberships

Using the content

The programs, text, artwork and design are ours (or used with permission) and are for your personal use. Please don't copy, record, redistribute or sell them. Scripture quoted in the app is from the King James Version, which is in the public domain.

Fair use of the service

Don't try to break into the app or its services, interfere with other people's use, or use it for anything unlawful. We can suspend or close accounts that do, with a refund of any unused membership time unless the misuse was serious.

Availability and changes

We'll improve the app over time, which means content and features will change. We aim to keep it available but can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may need to take it offline for maintenance, or in rare cases discontinue a feature, in which case the notice above applies.

Our responsibility to you

We provide the app "as is", and we're honest about what it can and can't do. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that can't be limited.

If we disagree

Email us first; most things can be sorted in a message or two. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, and any dispute that can't be settled between us will be handled in the courts there.

Changes to these terms

We'll post any changes here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If you don't, you can stop using the app and ask for a refund under the refund policy.
